Cauchy-Riemann Symmetry and Real Hypersurfaces in Hermitian Symmetric Spaces

We survey recent developments of pseudo-Hermitian geometry or CR geometry of hypersurface type, with a particular focus on their symmetries and realizations as real hypersurfaces in Hermitian symmetric spaces.
